Gender & Ethnicity Pay Statement

We want Centrica to be a more inclusive place to work – where everyone feels valued, motivated and at home.

While we’ve made positive progress making our team more inclusive, our sector and company still lacks diversity which is what’s driving our gender and ethnicity pay gaps. In 2022, our pay gap reduced and we remain fully committed to building on this through targeted action – from creating an engaged team that reflects the full diversity of our communities by 2030, to recruiting 3,500 apprentices with the ambition that 50% will be women by 2030. Achieving these goals and closing our pay gaps won’t be quick or easy, but we believe that aiming high is the right approach and we’re confident we can deliver tangible change over time.

We’ve published our gender pay gap for the last six years in line with UK law, and we’ve voluntarily shared our ethnicity pay gap for the third year running because we think it’s the right thing to do. We hope our voluntarily disclosure will encourage other organisations to do the same, and together, use the insight gained to drive positive change.
