Centrica acquired REstore NV, Europe’s leading demand response aggregator, enabling demand response aggregation to become a core part of the offer to Centrica Business Solutions customers.

Langage and Humber Power Stations

Centrica acquired Neas Energy A/S, one of Europe’s leading providers of energy management and revenue optimisation services for decentralised third-party owned assets. The acquisition added further capabilities and geographical diversification to the Energy Marketing and Trading business.

Canadian E&P assets

Centrica disposed of its 60% interest in The CQ Energy Canada Partnership, a Canadian exploration and production joint venture, in line with the strategic decision made in 2015 to focus its E&P activity on European assets.

Lincs wind farm

Centrica disposed of its 50% interest in Lincs wind farm to the UK Green Investment Bank Financial Services managed entities and the UK Green Investment Bank plc. This completed Centrica’s exit from the ownership of wind power generation assets, consistent with Centrica's strategy to reposition from central to distributed generation.

Centrica sold its portfolio of gas assets in Trinidad and Tobago to Shell Exploration and Production in line with the strategic decision made in 2015 to focus its E&P activity on European assets.

GLID wind farms

Centrica and its 50% joint venture partner EIG Global Energy agreed a joint sale of the Glens of Foudland, Lynn and Inner Dowsing wind farms (‘GLID’) to a consortium, comprising the UK Green Investment Bank Offshore Wind Fund and funds managed by BlackRock. The sale was in line with Centrica’s strategy to dispose of its interests in wind power generation as it repositions from central to distributed generation, while continuing to purchase wind power.
